KOM 2008
AXIGEN, together with local partner Info progres d.o.o., attended this year's edition of KOM, one of the largest conferences dedicated to communication technologies in Croatia. The event took place on November 24-26, reuniting a large number of IT professionals and managers looking for the latest technology news, products and services.
In addition to sponsoring the event, the AXIGEN Team and Info progres have also given a presentation on the benefits of using AXIGEN Mail Server's wide range of security tools in protecting corporate email communication. The presentation was made on the third day of the event, dedicated to Security & Internet, and was greatly appreciated by the audience.
Romanian ICT Trade Mission to Canada
Gecad Technologies, vendor of the AXIGEN Mail Server, participated in the Romanian ICT Trade Mission to Canada organized on November 1-9, 2008. During a series of interactive seminars and meetings organized by the Romanian Association for Electronic and Software Industry (ARIES), together with the Romanian Ministry for SMBs, Trade, Tourism and Liberal Professions, and the Romanian consulates in Montreal and Toronto, the AXIGEN Team has met and successfully discussed partnership opportunities with various IT companies and associations operating in the two cities, as well as in Waterloo.
GITEX Technology Week
The AXIGEN Team attended the GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK 2008 in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) on October, 19-23. Taking part in the GITEX Business Solutions event, our team had an interactive presence, sharing information on the AXIGEN product range and benefits for businesses of all sizes with all present at the exhibition.

Your Next-level Mail Server Solution
An interactive seminar organized together with our partner in Canada, NINA-IT International, and Netcleanse Technologies.
- The workshop addressed system administrators and IT Managers responsible with insuring the technology systems for communication within their companies and to service providers.
- The presentations focused on developing a complete messaging solution: AXIGEN carrier-class technology with Netcleanse powerful security service, all followed by an AXIGEN live demonstration.

ISPCON SPRING 2008
The AXIGEN team of professionals has attended this spring's edition of ISPCON, the largest event dedicated to Internet Service Providers (ISPs) worldwide. The event took place in Chicago, IL (USA), during May 13-15.
Apart from the exhibiting booth, our team has welcomed ISP representatives and other event visitors at the ISPCON LaunchPad Pavilion, as well as the Email Center that we have sponsored this year.
The AXIGEN team had an interactive presence, sharing information and news on the AXIGEN range of products, with a special focus on the Service Provider Edition, the AXIGEN mailserver especially designed to meet the requirements of Internet Service Providers.
Legal and Commercial Aspects of Spam
An informative seminar organized by AXIGEN together with Gartner Romania and the Linklaters law firm, under the event name: "Spam: Legal and Commercial Aspects. Who Wins? Who Loses?"
The seminar agenda included:
- An introductory speech delivered by Radu Georgescu, Chairman & Founder, AXIGEN.
- Spam General Statistics and Trends - presentation given by Felix Enescu, VP Consulting & EXP, Gartner Romania.
- Legal Aspects of Spam - speaker: Marian Dinu, Head of Corporate Practice, Linklaters.

The presentation was held in English and covered the following topics: the need for virtualization in a hosted environment, AXIGEN and the SaaS Model, the AXIGEN & Parallels technological partnership (with info about AXIGEN employing an additional virtualization layer in the form of Virtuozzo Containers).
Your Next-Level Mail Server
The event was organized together with our Philippines-based partner IPSYSTEMS Inc. and focused on introducing the AXIGEN Mail Server, its main features and benefits, its portability on several hardware architectures especially that of IBM’s x series servers, and its seamless integration with the BitDefender Antivirus solution, as an example.
The seminar consisted of three software presentations held by seasoned professionals from IPSYSTEMS, AXIGEN and IBM and a live demo of the AXIGEN Mail Server functionalities.
ITSC Software Seminar
An interactive software-dedicated seminar organized by AXIGEN’s partner in Thailand, I.T.Solution Computer Co. Ltd.
- More than 150 IT professionals attended the event which also hosted the first live presentation of AXIGEN in Thailand.

An interactive seminar for Linux server administrators. The event was held in Romanian and included two main presentations:
- Linux Server Security Mechanisms, presentation held by Mihai Cristian Jitaru, Linux Professional Institute and Microsoft Certified Professional;
- The AXIGEN Mail Server Security, presentation held by Liviu Anghel, Chief Security Officer, Gecad Group.
