Description
How to enforce actions based on the results returned by AntiVirus and AntiSpam filters enabled in AXIGEN
Resolution
Based on the results returned by
AntiVirus & AntiSpam filters, the
AXIGEN Mail Server can be configured to enforce different policies on the e-mail traffic such as
Deliver/Move to Trash/Discard.
Enforcing
AntiVirus actions can be done at the server level from the
WebAdmin interface -> by accessing the
Security & Filtering context ->
AntiVirus and AntiSpam ->
AntiVirus Actions section.
From this new section two types of policies ca be enabled based: for messages that are not
cleanable and also for
suspicious messages. You can for example ensure that malicious data will not be delivered to the hosted accounts by setting a
Discard action for infected e-mails while deferring suspicious e-mails to let's say the
Trash folder by a
Move to Trash action or even
Discard such messages if required.
In order to adjust the
AntiSpam configuration in
AXIGEN you should access from
the WebAdmin interface -> the Security & Filtering context -> AntiVirus and AntiSpam -> AntiSpam Configuration section. In this section you can set two the thresholds based on the spam score contained by each e-mail: for moving the messages into the SPAM folder and for deleting the message (Move to Trash). You can also configure a whitelist that contains e-mail addresses that should be excluded from these AntiSpam policies and thus ensuring that the e-mails from those senders will always be delivered into the INBOX folder of the intended recipient(s).
