Allow authenticated users to send messages using identities

Description

How to setup AXIGEN to allow authenticated accounts to send messages using other identities configured in their e-mail clients.

Resolution

In order to allow authenticated accounts to send messages using other identities you need to add the following acceptance rule. From the Webadmin interface go to Security & Filtering menu, Acceptance & Routing context, Advanced Settings tab and click Add Acceptance/Routing Rule.

You are now in the New Acceptance/Routing Rule wizard. Follow the steps below:
  • Write a suggestive Rule name for this new rule
  • Leave Enable this acceptance/routing rule checked
  • Leave the Conditions to Match any email message
  • From the Actions drop-down list select Authenticate mail from
  • Click Add Action
  • Leave Authenticate mail from unchecked
  • Click Save Configuration to save the new rule
