How to activate the Secure Login Redirect Option for plain connection in WebMail

Resolution

On a setup where both HTTP and HTTPS listeners are activated for the WebMail interface, the administrator has the possibility to configure AXIGEN as to display for plain HTTP connections a secure login redirect option for the users.
For such a setup we will consider that the WebMail listeners are configured for the standard TCP ports HTTP(80) and HTTPS(443).

The process of activating this setting should consist in accessing from WebAdmin -> Services context -> Webmail service -> Edit on the plain listener, in our example the one that binds on port 80, and from the SSL Settings context make sure to activate from the Secure login section the Display secure login option on login page option. For the hostname and port attributes the fields will be automatically completed with the host details Same Hostname and HTTPS port number, in our case 443.

After saving the new changes by selecting Save configuration, accessing the WebMail interface on the HTTP port will display in the login page a Click here to use a secure connection option that can be used for redirecting to a secure connection.
