Description

This article describes the usage of the Axigen installer package.

Resolution

First download the corresponding package for your Operating System, from our related site section:

http://www.axigen.com/mail-server/download/

Please note that the downloaded package is an installer. To run the Axigen installer you have two options:

1) set the proper permissions for the .run file to have the execute flag:

chmod +x axigen-7.1.4.i386.<os_custom_text>.run

Then from the same directory run the command:

./axigen-7.1.4.i386.<os_custom_text>.run

2) without the use of the chmod command simply run:

sh axigen-7.1.4.i386.<os_custom_text>.run

After this follow the on-screen installer instructions to complete the
install/upgrade or uninstall process and then start the Axigen service.

NOTE: To extract the contents of the Axigen package, without installing the Axigen application, run the installer with the --unpack option:

sh axigen-7.1.4.i386.<os_custom_text>.run --unpack

You can find all the installer supported options using:

sh axigen-7.1.4.i386.<os_custom_text>.run --help

During the installer, you will first be asked to read and accept the license and then a menu that presents you with install, upgrade or uninstall options. You also have some documentation options available. The menu will resemble the following (the menu options can vary, if you already have an Axigen version installed):
