Article updated on 25 March, 2009

Description

This article describes how to share a folder using the Axigen webmail interface.

Resolution

WARNING: "MACL" support must be enabled for the domain that requires folder sharing. If it is not, the options below will not be available.

Folder sharing can be enabled by any user account from the webmail interface. To share a folder, the user must be logged into the webmail interface and perform the following actions:

1. Right-click the folder to be shared.

2. Select the "Sharing" option from the menu. This will open a pop-up window that lists the current permissions on the respective folder. If no other settings were made previously, the list will be empty.

3. Click the "Add" button.

4. In the "User / group name" section, click the "Select" button. This will open up a list of available accounts that can be assigned rights for the folder.

5. Select an account and click the "Add" button.

5.1 Alternately, you can type the account name in the field below the list.

6. Click the "OK" button to return to the permissions page. The account will now be listed in the "User / group name" section.

7. Use the "Permission level" drop-down box to quick-select a predefined setting for the folder.

7.1 Set a custom permission configuration by manually selecting the rights you want to enable.

8. Click the "OK" button to save the changes. The new rule will now appear in the list of permission settings for the respective folder.

9. Click the "Save&Close" button to apply the new settings.
