  • IMAP not working

    I am running Agixen 10.1.4 on Ubuntu Server 16.04. Webmail works fine, but I cannot access my server with IMAP with or without SSL/TLS enabled. Where should I start?

    First of all you have to check if you could connect to the IMAP listener you have configured in your Axigen server (IMAP service).

    This could simple be achieved using telnet command and you have to check first from your own server. If the connection is accepted you could continue your test from your PC from where you could not connect to the Axigen server.

    If the connection is not accepted than the most probable cause is a firewall reject rule configured on the path from your PC to the Axigen server. It could be your router firewall or even the firewall running on the Axigen server.

    If the connection is accepted than you have to enable IMAP service log level to Protocol Communication and test again with your email client that reports that could not connect to the Axigen server. After that, please check Axigen logs (default saved in /var/opt/axigen/log/everything.txt) and see if you get some hints about this abnormal situation.
