  • Moving out Axigen to cpanel

    Hi,
I need to move a whole account out of Axigen to Cpanel. All email messages, folder structure etc.
Is there a clear way to export out to cpanel?
    Thanks

    Hello,

You could use an IMAP client (configured with both email accounts) to copy data from Axigen to any 3rd party email server that have support for IMAP.

Other than this method there are online tools (that are using IMAP protocol as well) to assist you on this migration.

Lastly you could migrate by your own using tools like imapsync.

    Ioan

      Hi,
We tried but had multiple problems

      Err 1/5: Host2 Folder INBOX.Spam: Could not select: 17 NO Mailbox doesn't exist: INBOX.Spam (0.001 + 0.000 secs).
Err 2/5: Could not create folder [INBOX.~Public Folders] from [~Public Folders/Domain Contacts]: 88 NO [CANNOT] Invalid mailbox name: Begins with '~' (0.001 + 0.000 secs).
Err 3/5: Could not create folder [INBOX.~Public Folders.Domain Contacts] from [~Public Folders/Domain Contacts]: 90 NO [CANNOT] Invalid mailbox name: Begins with '~' (0.001 + 0.000 secs).
Err 4/5: Could not create folder [INBOX.~Public Folders] from [~Public Folders/Public Contacts]: 96 NO [CANNOT] Invalid mailbox name: Begins with '~' (0.001 + 0.000 secs).
Err 5/5: Could not create folder [INBOX.~Public Folders.Public Contacts] from [~Public Folders/Public Contacts]: 98 NO [CANNOT] Invalid mailbox name: Begins with '~' (0.001 + 0.000 secs).

Is there a way to export in .mbox format or something more standard to import in a destination?
      Thanks

        Hello,

I've reviewed the errors mentioned above and none of them are critical in exporting messages.

Most probably you already know but usually the IMAP sync tools have options to rename some of the source folders, allowing you to map them to your new destination folder structure or to a new one.

Regarding your question I have to disappoint you and confirm that we are not aware about exporting in other formats.

        HTH,
        Ioan
