Important Notes and Upgrade Information

Bringing the mobile apps to your users. The new Axigen mobile apps for iOS and Android require Axigen X7 together with a license that includes the Mobile Apps add-on. If you plan to roll out the native apps to your end users, upgrade to X7 and request an updated license — it will be emailed directly to the license holder.

What to expect when upgrading to X7. Upgrading from X6 is a clean, in-place upgrade. No storage migration, index rebuild, or mailbox conversion is required, and your existing configuration is carried over automatically. As always, we recommend a full backup beforehand; note that once a server has started on X7, its storage can no longer be downgraded to X6.

OpenSSL 3.5 and stronger TLS defaults. X7 ships with OpenSSL 3.5, and Diffie-Hellman parameters are automatically upgraded to 2048-bit on first start. If you rely on legacy clients or custom cipher lists, we recommend re-testing your TLS configuration after upgrading.

The mobile apps require strict SSL certificate validation. Ensure your server uses a valid, properly configured SSL certificate with correct hostname matching and the complete certificate chain included. Self-signed or misconfigured certificates will prevent the apps from connecting.

Newly supported operating systems. Axigen X7 now supports SUSE Linux Enterprise Server and openSUSE Leap. Both are developed in Europe — like Axigen — giving organizations that value software and data sovereignty a fully European stack.

Supported versions. In accordance with our End-User License Agreement (EULA), we provide full support for the two latest major versions: Axigen X7 (10.7.x) and Axigen X6 (10.6.x).

No longer supported platforms. As of Axigen X7 the following are no longer supported: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8, CentOS Stream 8, Oracle Linux 8, AlmaLinux 8, Rocky Linux 8, Debian 11, and Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS.
