Attachments not working anymore?

I use Axigen Webmail explicitly for my email client, except when mobile. From my desktop I am trying to send out emails with attachments.

When I drag a PDF file in, I get the overlay graphic that tells me to drag it low for an embedded image or high for an attachment. I select high for an attachment. The file appears at the top of the email with a paperclip icon THEN DISAPPEARS. When I send the email, the recipients do NOT get the attachment.

So I tried it again using the “add attachments” button at the top of the draft email screen. Same problem. The file appears at the top of the email with a paperclip icon THEN DISAPPEARS. When I send the email, the recipients do NOT get the attachment.

I attempted each method 3 times to no avail.

Yes, I tried logging out, closing the browser, clearing history & Cache, relaunching & trying again.

In many cases the email itself it not received.

I attempted to use the VIEW button in the Web Admin portal to see My QUEUE log but it does nothing.
So I downloaded the Queue TXT file. It is full of errors trying to connect to a filter service, then just discards the email from the queue???

OK, Now outbound emails are not going out at all. Sheesh.

Hello Pete,

Thank you for your message.

Please let us know if you tried attaching a file with a smaller size.

At this time we presume that the problem you encounter is related to the “Limit Attachment size to:” value or “Limit message size to:” value inherited from WebAdmin > Domains & Accounts > Manage Domains >Edit on your domain name > Account Defaults > Quotas and Restrictions under “WebMail” section - you may also check this limit when editing your account.

Please keep us updated in this matter.
Thank you.

Please check if Cyren is Enabled (WebAdmin > Security & Filtering > Antivirus & Antispam > Cyren) and also started (WebAdmin > > Services > Services Management)
Thank you.

Cyren is disabled. I dont use it. I have another 3rd party mail filter in the form of a smart host relay.

Why would Axigen be trying to connect to a service that it disabled??

Ok, I have increased these limits just in case.

I had to leave for a meeting, but it looks like all the test emails with and without attachments finally went out maybe 30-40 minutes later. Hmm. Recipients were on several different servers, so it was definitely on my (senders) end. Server utilization was almost NILL. Not sure why it would have been delayed.

Hello Pete,

At each WebAdmin login all filters are checked so you could get their status. So you could safely disregard any log lines related to filterDetect recipients.

On the other hand, when you see that some of your messages are stuck into the queue, the first check should be go see their status like press the “info” button dedicated to a specific message. From there you could see the recipients lists and press furtheremore “show info” link near each of these recipients.

In the end, could you confirm if your attachment issue was solved by increasing the limits as @MaXiM has suggested?

BR,
Ioan

Ok, thanks for the info.
Yes, I increased the limits.
The problem resolved after a server reboot.

Thanks
