Authentication error for user 'X': Account not found locally

Hi,

When checking the SMTP log, I see alot of different IP’s trying to (apparently) log into my webmail, trying out different usernames.

Apparently it’s been going on for months.

Should I be worried?

Hello Norlig,

If you are using not trivial passwords for your hosted accounts that you should be not worried.

In case you do not login without the domain part my advice is to set the “primary domain” to a domain that does not exist on your server (like WebAdmin > Global Settings > Primary Domain > disabled and save configuration).
