Hi,
I am trying to find a work around rather than using ftp application to copy some folder in which I use the native Windows File Explorer as my ftp. The session was started properly, log on and browse all the content of the axigen domains. But as soon I copied 1 or multiple files / folders it will initiate the copy but after few second it gives this error.
Can anyone give some ideas.
Thanks,
Jay
Hi
I recommend you to use filezilla.
and increase the Flow Control of FTP

@Mohammad
So it means I cannot use the native of Windows File Explorer? Why?
Also I don’t have any issue in Linux File Explorer when I am using the same.
Flow control values of FTP are ok.
Hello Jay,
Please set the log level to Protocol communication for FTP Back-up & Restore service and share with us the Axigen logs for the time period when you are receiving that error in Windows File Explorer.

Hello Jay,
So you have the answer - the FTP client you are using (Windows File Explorer) is sending a command that is not implemented (SIZE <file-name>
). Because of the protection set on the FTP-BACKUP service, the session is closed after X errors.
If you like to “play” with you may disable this “feature” (closing session after X errors) by changing that value from WebAdmin > Back-up & Restore > FTP Back-up & Restore > Error Control > untick the setup for closing session after X invalid commands received from clients

Ioan

@indreias
Thanks for this info.
I know about the Error control and why the FTP session closes. Just want to see what is the cause of it and now you give the proper detailed answer
“(Windows File Explorer) is sending a command that is not implemented (SIZE <file-name>
)”
Thanks a lot hope this will be useful for someone as well.
Regards,
Jay
