EHLO only hostname not hostname with domain name

I have a problem with my Axigen mail server.
The ehlo command produces the following output in line 1
“250-windowsserver Axigen ESMTP hello”

However, it should read
250-mail.domain.com Axigen ESMTP hello

Where can i change this setting?

Please check this KB and follow the recommendation made at point 3 (Override default SMTP banner).

yes, this ist ok for the helo banner. but the ehlo banner doesn´t do this.

i have find this her. Kilck
but i not find the greeting with the server.domainname.de

Sorry for my confusion, I understand now what you are reffering to.
Currently there are no means to change the answer Axigen is providing when receiving the EHLO command.

Are there any changes to this since January 2022?

I have Axigen 10.6.6 and my EHLO response is
250-rhelserver Axigen ESMTP hello
rather than
250-mail.domain.com Axigen ESMTP hello

No, there are no changes to this.

Are you hosting multiple domains?

If negative, have you considered to change the machine hostname to mail.domain.com?

Thanks for getting back to me.

Yes, I have multiple domains, but only one domain is being used for email. The other domains are just used for dev web sites.

Yes, I considered changing the hostname of the machine to mail.mymaindomain.com but was holding off pending your answer :slight_smile: I’m also not sure if that will impact other things so will need to ponder and possibly experiment.
