Free Mail Server license, what happens after expiration to running services?

Hi,
We’re currently running Free Mail Server on Linux (for 2 users), and trying to minimize any downtime after its free annual license expires and catch us off guard.
Question: Do the expired license stops already running mail services? or do this happens only after you restart them? (i.e. service reads/depends on valid license, if not present it won’t start)

Hello Mak,

Yes, an expired license will stop a working service thus, ideally, the best option is to renew the free license before it expires.

I was going to ask you about the renewal process but I think I found the answer: a new license, including a free (limited) one, can be obtained from the following URL AXIGEN Mail Server - License Registration
