How to create Public folder for Administrative user?

Hello,

I read the documentation for Creating Public folder for domain

We would like to enable delegadmin to use Public Folder. We enable Permission for Administrative User: Manage Public Folder, Create Public Folder, Remove Public Folder.
We enable Sharing also for all account on domain.

When Administrative user connect to Domain administration portal, under section Public folder, he can only set Public folder name, but he can not specify the email address for this public folder. There are no tab for insert Email address.
Also when Administrative user go to edit created Public folder, under section General ,
there is no tab to define the email addresses for which all received emails will be forwarded to this public folder.

When we are connected to Webadmin interface as main admin we can define the email addresses for which all received emails will be forwarded to this public folder.

How can we send an email that will be seen by all accounts under the Public folder?

Which is procedure?

Best regards!

Hello Elizabeta,

Thank you for reaching us.

Please know that besides the permissions you already mentioned you’ve added, you need to mandatory include the permission named Manage Folder Recipients. Besides that, from our internal tests we have observed that the permission Manage Domain Config will improve the usage experience after Manage Folder Recipients has been added. However, the Manage Domain Config is a more broad permission. If you consider this a viable solution you can proceed with it, otherwise we will check internally for an alternative.

Best regards,
Razvan

Hello Razvan,

We have enabled Manage Folder Recipients for one domain. When Administrative user connect now he can see tab Email address under Public Folder-> General.
But, when Administrative user try to insert email address there is an error “You must provide a name!”

We only want to enable the permission named `Manage Folder Recipients’ which will allow an administrative user to add an email address for a public folder.

Best regards!

Hello Elizabeta,

Thank you for your response.

Please know that the error you see is due to the fact that the domain named is hidden, as this is related to the Manage Domain Config permission. However as we have mentioned this permission is not restricted to the Public Folder only, but it gives the delegated admin access to the configuration of the said domain.

If you consider that this is a suitable solution for your use case, you can proceed with it, otherwise we recommend you to open a support case so we can take this matter internally.

Best regards,
Razvan
