Hi everyone,
I have two questions regarding Axigen:
-
Distribution List (DL): Is it possible to create a DL with multiple members but allow only specific users (e.g., HR/Admin) to send emails to that DL?
-
Domain-wise Restriction: If I host multiple domains (e.g., abc.com, xyz.com, test.com) on the same Axigen server, is it possible to restrict domain-wide emails so that only a specific account (e.g., HR) can send emails to all users within a domain?
Has anyone implemented these scenarios? Any guidance would be appreciated.
I’m not an expert in this, but did a little research. Depending on how you want to do this, based on my understanding of the request, there seems to be two options:
- Groups (Managing Groups | Axigen Documentation)
- Create the group and add the members
- Set an incoming message rule to reject e-mails that are not from specific senders (you must add them to the list of senders in the “matches” section.
- Mailing LIsts (Managing Mailing Lists | Axigen Documentation)
- you can create mailing list, add members and set the moderator (HR account, in your case) as the only sender/poster.
- Under the “subscriptions and postings” tab, set the “Message can be posted by” to moderator.
If I did it correctly on my server, both of these work.
