Reset calendars

Hello,

I am trying to import multiple calendars via CalDav and I am encountering a number of issues:

  • The default calendar cannot be removed, renamed, nor even emptied.
  • When a calendar has been deleted, it is impossible to create a new one with the same name.

On the roadmap page, I see that the next release will refactor the calendar API. Will these issues be addressed? Meanwhile, is there a way to reset the calendars to the vanilla state?

I have to correct my previous statement about recreating a calendar that has previously been deleted. It rather seems that it is not possible to create a calendar with the same name as an IMAP folder. What happened is that I had the automatic migration service activated for that account. When the account was just created, I was able to create and delete the calendar, but later, an IMAP folder with the same name was imported and it was thus impossible to recreate the calendar. If the calendar already exists before importation, all emails and subfolders under the original IMAP folder are migrated to the Filtered Email folder.

I am not sure why the calendar requires an IMAP folder. This does not make sense, and unfortunately, this is a deal breaker for me.

Will this be fixed in X4 (initially scheduled for Q4, 2021)? Are you able to provide an ETA?
