Ridiculous statement from Axigen relating to bugs in their own Activesync implementation

I have had a support case open with Axigen for a little over a week. The initial issue is that folders within a mailbox don’t sync reliably with the Windows 10 mail client when first added to Windows Mail. (some folders will sync, others will incorrectly show no items - - these folders may sync some time later, typically after a few weeks)

Axigen’s reply, having gone away to “discuss internally” is:

“Please know that the reported behavior was analyzed by our development team and the conclusion was that we can no longer support the Windows Mail app for ActiveSync due to technical reasons. We will remove it from the list of supported ActiveSync clients.”

NOTHING explaining what the issue is; NOTHING suggesting Axigen may work to fix it in the future; just a simple NO - we can’t be bothered, so we’re going to stop supporting probably one of the most widely used mail clients in the world!

This makes supporting my server and my customers almost impossible - but I bet Axigen won’t give me a refund on my license costs!

DISGUSTING

I feel your pain. I have lost quite a few clients when having to deal with the outlook connector and the active sync integration on windows. I moved customers from a competing solution that never gave me issues and immediately had issues with the migration. This happened to a number of users. I eneded up loosing customers that I would not have lost because of this. Axigen mail server is great, but their windows integration needs to be addressed. Its actually stopping me from stopping any more migrations over as I don’t want to loose more customers. The connector is very buggy.

This is very true, We almost lose 1 big company due to the bugs of outlook connectors and the developers did nothing about it nor give any proper answers / solutions.

This is why we are still implementing IMAP rather using Outlook connector and Trying to solve other means necessary using CalDav and CardDav.

CalDav works fine but right now CardDav seems have some bugs as well.

Check screen shot after implementation of CardDav in which in client level it see properly all details but in Webmail looks like this.

All blanks but if you connect and download this contacts to a email client it brings proper details

I have not seen that ever as what you’re showing there. I don’t know what to tell you on that. If you mount the users email account (or domain) on the filesystem are you able to browse and see the contents of those files. I’m assuming yes since its working on remote client, just not in the web gui.

Have you checked to see if there are any invalid flags on the messages or even tried rebuilding the account to see if there is also an issue with the account(s) on the domain?

My guess is theres some corruption with that, which is outside of the ActiveSync issue on Outlook.

David,

Those are contacts and I am using CardDav to sync to Axigen Contacts using IMAP Protocol. There are no corruptions but rather the CardDav or the fields of Thunderbird does not match with the fields of Axigen.

But even do they are blank if I sync to any email client with the use of CardDav the contents / data in each contacts appears.
