Sent Emails not shown

When I use outlook, I am able to receive e-mails and send e-mails. However, once the emails have been sent, the sent emails do not appear in the sent folder on outlook.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Sent messages are added by the mail client into the Sent folder (via IMAP protocol) only if it si configured to do so. therefore please double check that your mail client is configuredin this regard.

My Outlook 2016 client is configured with Axigen through IMAP. I am facing issue of missing sent emails after a certain time period. There is no auto archiving configured within Outlook. It is as if Axigen is deleting or archiving sent emails on its own. What can I check to resolve this issue?

after confirming if your outlook is configure using IMAP then try to resync / re create your .ost file of the specific account your having trouble.

Double check in webmail if the messages your referring to are missing as well on server side.

If the messages are on the server then double check your settings in outlook in regards with how many months / years / or even all message to be synchronize.

Thanks Jay for your prompt response. Mystery is that sent emails are missing at server end too. Thats the issue and yet no archiving is in place, either at client or server end

In this case if you are dealing on a specific account then try to repair it.

Unfortunately the issue is company wide. Every mailbox has its sent emails missing after certain time, which is not specific

You may check from CLI if auto purge is enabled for SENT folder using the bellow commands:

<#> update domain YOUR_DOMAIN
<domain#> CONFIG adminLimits
<domain-adminLimits#> show

and check the value of purgeFolders parameter. Dy default should be:

purgeFolders = ("Deleted Items" Spam Trash)
