Spam folder and IMAP clients

Good morning. I have a question about marking messages as spam. I use Thunderbird and the iOS mail app for most of my email access. I don’t use Thunderbird’s built-in spam filtering, allowing the server to handle that.

My question is, if I move a message to the Spam folder from Thunderbird or iOS, does this have the same effect as clicking the spam button in the webmail client, for the purpose of learning what is and is not spam? Or does it simply move the message to that folder but not train the spam filter?

Thank you

Hello Karl,

Sorry to disappoint but, currently, clicking the Spam button from WebMail client will just move the message to the Spam folder.

HTH,
