Spamassassin on Migration from other email system

I’m testing the free version of Axigen.
I have spamassassin configured and set to score 5.

I’ve migrated a test account from other server and noticed that the migrated messages still contain a lot of spam.
Does spamassassin quick in when doing a migration or only when regular email arrives at the INBOX?

I have to know if the anti-spam is working…

Hi according to this document filters (spamassassin) scan emails when receiving emails are in queue before deliver to mailboxes.

But please note that antispams does not reject or quarantine emails and does not affect on emails while migrating an account from old email server. It scans only on receiving emails( queue processing step).

Yes, makes sense to not apply on migration!
