Status: 5.0.0 - Sender domain xxx has no DNS MX entry

Hi to all.

I am having the strangest behaviour in one of my domains on my mail server (Linux 10.5.12).

  • I have created the domain, let’s say XXX on the server.
  • I have DNS Control for this domain
  • I have an MX entry pointing to my Axigen Server
  • I do a nslookup (type=mx) and the result is my Axigen server
  • I run some tools like mxtools.com and the results are ok.
  • I receive emails to accounts in the XXX domain

When I send emails from the webmail client, I get a Failure Notice reply saying " Sender domain has no DNS MX entry"

In the logs, I can see:

2024-04-15 19:32:56 +0300 08 mail01 DNR:002233CD: ‘XXX’ not found in DNS
2024-04-15 19:32:56 +0300 08 mail01 DNR:002233CD: Failed to get NS, adding NULL MX entry for key: XXX
2024-04-15 19:32:56 +0300 08 mail01 DNR:002233CD: ‘XXX’ not found in DNS
2024-04-15 19:32:56 +0300 02 mail01 PROCESSING:002233CD: Unable to determine MX associated with
2024-04-15 19:32:56 +0300 08 mail01 PROCESSING:002233CD: Set smtp explanation to [Sender domain has no DNS MX entry]

Any idea why this may be happening?
