This article describes the steps required for the upgrade process from an Axigen X2 (or 10.2.1.x) version to Axigen X2 Update 2 (10.2.2).
Solution
To upgrade from the X2 version to the latest Axigen X2 Update 2, please follow the steps below:
- Download the corresponding package from our downloads section: https://www.axigen.com/mail-server/download/
- Stop the Axigen service.
- Create a backup of the Axigen working directory using the suggestions in our related knowledge base article: https://www.axigen.com/kb/show/158
- NOTE: For a restoring process of Axigen consult our article at: https://www.axigen.com/kb/show/161
- Please note that the downloaded Axigen X2 Update 2 package is an installer. Run the installer and follow the on-screen installer instructions to complete the upgrade process.
- Since this is only an upgrade, please make sure that you skip the Axigen post-install configuration wizard.
- Start the Axigen service.
If you have an in-place integration with MimeDefang or a similar tool for TNEF decoding, we strongly recommend you to disable that filter before upgrading to Axigen X2 Update 2.
